The latest noob has a proposition: What if they're more than just, well, some random "evil" clan?

I'm not sure what all the plans are for this since I just got here, but I think we should definetly spice this up a bit somehow. What if they're brought about by an "evil" Starclan? I know that's kind of redundant, the whole "StarClan vs. The BoogermanClan" but with this sacrifice thing going on too, I can't help but throw it in. You could almost hook these two plots together. All these cats think it's Starclan's will for them to make sacrifices, right? Since good things happen when they do. What if the BoogermanClan has been...like...locked into a powerless position by StarClan all this time and for whatever reason they've broken free of it (or something, we could figure out later if you like the idea) and they've been messing with stuff. While all those cats were fighting at the gathering place perhaps that was really an attack of the BoogermanClan, and the BoogermanClan and StarClan were meanwhile having a kind of battle of their own over the moral of the cats. And when somebody killed that cat on the rock, the BoogermanClan won and has now got a foot in the door with things.

So the BoogermanClan has folks sacrificing cats thinking it's to StarClan, but it's really to the BoogermanClan. And maybe that's one way they draw their power. The more sacrifices made, the stronger they get over StarClan. And maybe now that they've got this power, their spirits can really escape into this world and "into" other cats, which would be where BoneClan comes in. The clan's leader has to hate StarClan to the point that when, say, a BoogermanClan member appears to him/her, they fall right into the prospect of helping to take StarClan out. Even if it means selling their soul to the BoogermanClan. And thus, that's how BoneClan gets started. And since BoneClan really sort of belongs to the BoogermanClan, they are, sure enough, evil, which could instigate all of those idea you guys were having ( heirs to garontee the right cat gets in there next, she-cats being discriminated against, and kind of the other language too, they could be BoogermanClan words, etc). The BoogermanClan wants to use BoneClan to eventually take over and kill off the cats of the four origional clans - StarClan's beloved. And since we've got BoneClan cats making sacrifices AND StarClan's peeps making sacrifices, the BoogermanClan keeps getting stronger so they can pour more of that strength into BoneClan. Making them harder and harder to kill for the battles ahead.

That's all I got. Kind of an idea off the fly there, but you could twist in all KINDS of mini-plots in. RP drama is ftw.

I like your idea, and it's obvious you've put a lot of thought into it. It's a good way of tying the two together, and definitely makes sense in the long-term.

I just have one small point I wanted to put in. The reason Echo's sacrifice plot appealed to me was the fact that it wasn't about a Clan that was 'bad' in the way that most plot Clans tended to be: it opened up far more in the way of greyscale and potential to really delve into your character's feelings, more than a simply black-and-white goodies-vs-baddies thing. What I liked was the idea of waking up and discovering that the enemy is one of us.

Thanks Fallen! And I see your point. I got the implamation that Boneclan was going to be a sure enough "EVIL" kind of group. But I could find a way to tweek that idea into something that was less black and white if you want this plot to be that way too.

If you're refering to the whole BoogiemanClan feeding into Echo's plot, that would still be a fuzzy area. The cats don't just turn psycho over night. They just begin to get it in their head that this is a good idea, and it just kind of snowballs from there with the boogiemanclan gaining power from sacrifices, especially once they get together in Boneclan (the ones that do anyway) and they're with a whole bunch of other cats who think the same way. Somebody's bound to say something brave and the rest of them, since they're kind of thinking that way too, go with it. See what I'm saying? That's kind of the way things would flow. They'd still be friends with the cats that they were before, but their growing differences of beliefs would begin to drive them apart. "Brothers fight brothers" civil war type of thing. With the exception of the loners and rouges of course.
