Possible Suggestions

I agree with fast on the archive thing. But maybe we could have a public and private archive? Public for like...member reference for like debate board or just to look up something. Private for things you wouldnt want people to be rifling through. Comments?

I think all of those ideas are great :D.

Why wouldn't it be a good idea to have an open archive? Obviously some things, like staff discussions, would have to be kept private but and archive for old games, announcements, and of course, role-play threads, wouldn't be so bad. Just lock the threads and set the board so that no-one can post in it ;).

What sort of other things might we not want people rifling though?

Well we won't really be having any archives for awhile, so for the time being, an archive board would just clutter the main page and is not needed.

And Fast, isn't that basically what moderation is? A place for dead threads that only the staff can see? Anyways, I like to idea of NPCS. Some peeps don't like to make their cats family members, but might want to add them into a post or two just so not all their family is dead.

Where would old/dead threads go when they've ended then? RP threads don't last forever, and when they end or die, they should be moved somewhere else or they would clutter whatever board it was originally in. Plus, some people might mistake one to be long dead.

Like Fallen, I don't see what's wrong with being able to peruse old RP threads, games, contests, debates, or anything. Staff threads could have a Staff Archival in their board, or another sub-board that's only visible by staff. Old threads could be pretty helpful for referencing back to something. Anyway, if we do make an Archive for old threads, different sub-boards could help keep it organized(Old RP, Old Games/Contests, Old Announcements, etc)

Well we can't move every thread that is done to the archive board, or it looks like we aren't that active. But any that are done will be locked, and will eventually be moved.

And yeah, but for the time being, we will be leaving threads where they are, but when needed, an archive board will be added.

o.o Wow. I have no clue how to make a code from scratch, so it does amaze me whenever someone does xD But maybe you should have a preview...?

1. Mmm...so we're gonna have StarClan and Dark Forest cats be make-able and RP-able right? There should probably be new subboards for them in the Creation and Accepted boards. But I was wondering. What happens to loners/rogues/kittypets and other cats who don't believe in StarClan? Do they still go to StarClan/Dark Forest, or do they just disappear? If they just disappear when they die, I'm guessing the Dead Cats board could be modified to fit those? Otherwise it would get confusing which ones are StarClan, Dark Forest, and none.

4a. If we're having NPCs, should they have a separate Creation/Accepted board? I think it should be easier to make NPCs than an actual bio, since they're not really a whole new character. I guess they could be just some basic stuff, like a short Appearance, a few words in Personality, and a brief History. And the name, gender, rank, and age. People would also have to mention whether they want their NPC to be able to be RPed by anyone or just themselves, since most people prefer to RP their cats own relatives when they have to.

4b. Are we doing the mod thing? As I said before, only Senior Members and Staff should be able to mod, and only when they themselves are willing to do so. Also as I've said before, since it was my idea to begin with, I would be glad to help with the modding if we go with such a thing.

Edit: 5. Might be a tad unnecessary, but a maybe a board for Open Threads? I know a few people have made some threads and are still waiting for someone to reply(_{or possibly a mod )so I think they should be able to post somewhere with a link. That way, it might get more people's attention, and people won't have to make a whole new thread whenever they feel like RPing. They could just look through the Open Threads for one that they might want to join.}

1. Well, we would probably just have them go to a place that's not in starclan or the dark forest. Mind thinking of a creative name?

4a. We will make a board for that, and it will be a skimp of a bio. Just so they have to write a sentence or two on how the character looks, acts, and tell who can rp them.

4b. Like moderating boards?

5. Well if people want someone to reply, they should put [OPEN] in their title. I will be making an rp thread that gives tips like that.

4b. Well, sort of, depending on what you mean by moderating. By modding I meant the second portion of the #4 in my original post. Like if someone made a thread for the sake of RPing, no real plot or plan or anything, and no one's replied, somebody could post as a random loner/rogue/cat or something to get it moving. Just a temporary character that disappears once the threads done. It's like how on most Pokemon RP sites, the staff mod as randomly generated wild Pokemon/local trainers for people's characters to catch. Only on this site, maybe they could have a fight. It would be ever better for border patrols if a rogue or something intrudes every so often and pops into such a thread.

5. That's the thing. Once it's been posted, it'll only be in the Most Recent Posts search thing for awhile before getting bumped off. Then it's pretty unlikely somebody accidentally stumbles on it. To tell the truth, I don't really ever go through a bunch of RP boards looking for an open thread to post in. It would be a lot easier to browse, find threads, get replies, if there was a board with it all in one place; where people could post something asking for a reply, or even plotting. An advertisement, if you want to put it that way, only it would only need to be a link to the thread as well as a short blurb of what the person is looking for, if anything. If they just want some sort of reply, or if they want their thread modded, and such.

5. No, no. Like a board where people can post links to open threads, along with what they would prefer, if anything. People could also reply to the threads with the links with whatever plot idea, or questions or ideas for the thread if they want.

So for example, if this were in the board, someone could post:
Hey just looking for any reply. It's in ___Clan...[whatever else they want to say??]
