Some Issues

I know that I really have been on an epic poof spree of not really ever being on lately, but I finally remembered that I actually need to tell you about it xD

Ok, to start it off, I have not been confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. I have been putting it off for as long as I can because I am actually an agnostic, and I just haven't found the courage to talk to my HEAVILY devout mother about it. She's really starting to push for me to be confirmed, and it is so not fun. I mean, how can you stand in front of people and say stuff you don't believe in?

Secondly exams. I am at a magnet school, which means they have the right to kick me out if I get a bad grade. So starting saturday-ish I will start to study for my exams which start on the seventh or so. What fun.

Thirdly, grades. As stated above they have the right to kick me out, and then my mom is a freak about getting A's, which on a seven point scale is a 93 or above. Not too easy at a magnet school. I had jazz piano lessons with the director of a jazz band, but they got dropped because I made some B's on interim and I really want that back -.-

To finish it off, my muse is below nine thousand. My posts started at 800 and dropped to 600 and 500 on other sites, which as opposed to my normally 1.5k is a big drop. I don't want to post something if I think it is really bad for my standards, which means I really have to struggle to post anything I think is half decent. Sorry, but I just don't have the time to take forever to write posts, and I just can't post something that is too short for my taste. It killed me the other day to write four hundred words...

I think that is all of my loverly reasons. I know that I have not been terribly active since I joined over a year ago -cough- but I really was trying to become more active. So much for that idea. Happy Holidays for whichever one you believe in, and I shall see you guys after exams and after my lovely religious mess gets cleaned up!

Oooo. Confirmation. I don't want to do that. I know what you mean by the grades, my mom always wants me to get all A's. And HOLY CR*P!!! It's dropped to 5 or 6 hundered words?! Heck! Mine are barely 1 or 2 hundred! xD

I can really feel for you about the religious thing. My mum's never been pushy about religion (since she's not the strict religious type: no church services every Sunday or grace before every meal), but my friend is going to have to tell her parents that she's headed for atheism. Will not go down too well, we believe.

You have my deepest sympathies about the school, too. What kind of sadistic place is that, really? O.o Kicking people out because they're not perfect isn't going to help their self-esteem or their grades >>; Then again, it does give you a reason to do well... I guess... ^^; I would go on strike if I were in your position, -I'm barely scraping through my parent's good-grades books at the moment- so well done you for getting back up there! That is a pretty intense achievement, and we're all behind you with helping out or support if you need it ^^;

At least your honest! I dont fully understand the religious stuff. I'm a baptist but i hardly go to church (mostly having to do with my pastor moving to Utah....whats in utah anyway?!). and my parents have never really forced it upon me.
As for grades i stress my own self out. I consider a B failing....i know sad but its how i am.
