Character Naming Conventions

We have been getting a few problems with names, so I am going to clear this up once and for all.


Kits~

Kit names end with kit. Stormkit, Leafkit, ect. (please do not copy those names.)

I don't want to see, Stormcloudkit, or anything like that.

Kit names are usually determined by pelt color or personality. So if they are a mellow and calm kit, they may be called Breezekit. Since a breeze is calm, that could be a possibility to the kits name.

Also, the name can be based on pelt (fur) color. Like if it has a white pelt, you could name it Whitekit, or Snowkit. If they have a brown pelt, you could name them Branchkit, after the color of branches.

Also, if you weren't a clan born kit, the leader will usually choose your name.

Apprentices~


All apprentices take on the last name of paw. So Stormpaw, Whitepaw, ect. ect. Medicine cat apprentices will also have the name paw, until their mentors (the current medicine cat) grants them with their full name.

Here is an example:

Stormkit becomes Stormpaw.

Again, please don't use names such as Stormcloudpaw. That is just not real.

If you were a loner, kittypet, ect., your leader will choose your name in a ceremony.


Warriors~

Now, once an apprentice has become a warrior, they take on their full name. The last parts of the name sometimes consist of these:

claw, heart, spirit, face, and a bunch more. Your leader will choose if you are moving up from the apprentice rank.

So here are some examples:

Fastheart, Redwhisker, Owleyes, ect. ect.

Stormpaw to Stormcloud.

Also, I do NOT want to see the names paw or kit in a warriors name! Not possible.

If you were once a kittypet, loner, ect., your leader will choose your name.


Deputy~

This does not change from the warrior name.


Leader~

When a cat gets its 9 lives from StarClan and is granted the leaders position, they get the last name of star.

Example:

Stormcloud to Stormstar.

Elders~

Elders either keep their warrior name, or if they have a mark or something, they get a new name. Like if Stormcloud permanently bent his tail, he could be called crookedtail. Pretty much stuff like that.


Loners~

Loner names are usually pretty calm. Not a gore name.

Like Barely, or if a cat quit his/her clan, maybe like Ravenpaw. Anyways, just a settle name that you think a loner cat would have.

Rouges~

These are typically the meaner cats. They are on their own still, but they like to cause destruction. So with that, they usually have another kind of name. That sounds tough. Here are some examples:

Rock, Mountain, Claw, Bear, Spark, ect. ect.

Kittypets~

Kittypets are easy. Just what you would name a cat. Moon, Jasper, just pretty much anything!
