Halfpaw sighed as she padded around the camp. She had yet to make a friend in Shadowclan although she desperately needed one. Who would want to be friends with a Thunderclan cat and a Shadowclan cat?
Looking at her own fur she felt despaired as she saw the separate colors. Orange and Black. Just like Thunderclan and Shadowclan showing her birth far past just of knowledge. Her pelt was pretty, but she disliked it for it proved to much of the fact of her gene's. Her name, birth, AND pelt colored her life in which other Shadowclan cats thought her disloyal.
Halfpaw thrust her head up high then, and puffed out her chest. She would prove her loyalty. Thunderclan meant nothing to her, and the mousebrains that thought that it did, well... If they couldn't see past her parents disloyalty, that was there problem. She would be nothing like her parents but a fierce, strong, loyal, and loving warrior. Perhaps even leader one day.
Halfpaw shifted her weight and purred. Yes, a perfect warrior. Yet, she did need a friend. She glanced around the desolate camp and padded around. When she found a shady spot near the middle of camp she lay down and waited for another cat.

Falconpaw bounced back into the camp, excited from his first hunt. Sure he didn't catch anything, and no doubt the other cats would spend time growlign at him about it, but he couldn't help it. He had only been an apprientice for barly a day. His lack of a proper mentor also might have contributed to his failure. He used to be a kittypet, after all, and many of the Shadowclan warriors disliked that. Falconpaw didn't mind.
Unwilling to seek out a tounge lashing, and eager to see if he could find some fun, Falconpaw looked around the camp, looking to see if perhaps someone wanted to play. He hoped so. He got so bored sometimes.
He spotted a rather pretty looking young she cat in a shady spot. She looked thoughtful, and a bit troubled. Falconpaw, who belived that play was the best cure for a bad mood, bounded over to her. He didn't know her, but that didn't matter.
"Hi, I'm Falconpaw! What's your name? Wanna play?"

Halfpaw noticed another apprentice bound into camp happily. She tipped her head in wonder. He carried no prey, but came home happy. When he walked up to her she noticed that it was the new apprentice made yesterday. Halfpaw's eyes glinted with a smile and she stood up. "I'm... Uh, I'm Halfpaw. And I'd love to play!"
As she stood next to the lively apprentice, she asked, "Do you know any battle moves?" Then she crouched playfully and growled lightly. "I hope so, cause then I'll beat you into dust!" Finally, Halfpaw's heart lifted a bit as she taunted Falconpaw. "I'm going to be the enemy warrior, you can be the Shadowclan warrior. Okay? Where should I be?" Tilting her head she grinned and said, "I'll be hunting on Shadowclan territory and you can fight me off." She bounded a few fox-lengths away and began creeping around Falconpaw, pretending to smell prey. Suddenly she jumped forwards and lashed out. "Ha! I caught a frog! Luckily there aren't any Shadowclan cats to see me."
